1980年代のアメリカを舞台に、社会の闇、人生のさまざまな波乱とともに人としての成長や家族の在り方を描き切った傑作です。

学校でも話題の人気俳優　兼モデルのシヴァとお近づきになりたい女の子の視点で描かれるストーリです。

作風はスタイリッシュですが、内容はダークな面も。

ドラッグや銃社会、崩壊した親子関係、恋人の死・・・。ここまで踏み込んだ作品はなかなかないと思います。

“Drugs, broken families… the last thing you get.”-CHIPER

Set in 1980s America, this masterpiece depicts the dark side of society and the various vicissitudes of life, as well as human growth and the nature of family.

The story is told from the perspective of a girl who wants to be close to Shiva, a popular actor and model who is the talk of the school.

The style is stylish, but the content has a dark side.Drugs, gun violence, broken parent-child relationships, the death of a lover…. I think it is rare to find a work that goes into such depth.

苦難から何を得ていくのか

人生苦あれば楽あり、と言いますが、うまくいかないことの方が多いと感じるかもしれません。

しかし、逆に言えば、人生はぶつかる壁から何を学び、乗り越えていくのか。

そんな事を問う様な作品と言えるかもしれません。

ただ作風は、80年代という時代性もありポップな感じですので、ハラハラドキドキしますが、読んでて、そこまで重い気持ちになることはないと思います。（まあ、流石に中盤は少し来ますが）。

時代性もありますし、こんな作品はもう世に出ないと思いますので、
